Winter Landscape

Dreaming of a cooler life!! LOL Another warm one today being a tad over 40°c ... so can't wait to move south! Brian and I went to Kojonup yesterday and looked over 3 farming properties ranging in size & $$'s. The properties yesterday that we looked over - one I just didn't like (even though it had a real road frontage & not gravel & roadside mail) I told the agent I'd seen enough after only being there 15-20 minutes. Another - just didn't do it for me - it was on the edge of town literately but had no road side mail & huge power lines running through it. I liked the house there though & the array of sheds etc but too many big power lines - not good!
The first one we looked over is the one I like so far. It's pretty flat except where the house is but the house over looks the whole property pretty much. Fab views! There is a wasted wildflower plantation (nothing done with it in a number of years so everything is over grown) which because it's all reticulated we could turn it into a huge orchard or something like that - berries, cherries, apples, pears, oranges, mandarins, lemons, avocados etc, etc. The house was only 7-10 years old and had everything I want in a house - 4 beds, office, formal & informal areas & 2 bathrooms! It's one of the more expensive farms & needs a lot of work however it was the one I felt offered the most potential and one I felt most at ease at. Still in saying all of that - still want to go & look over another couple in that same area.

Brian's gout has nearly cleared up and his foot is doing much better. Still taking all the pills but what is one meant to do - suffer or survive? At the moment Brian is surviving!

Jim is still in hopsital. They are trying to sort out the fluid on his leg before they continue with the chemotherapy. Not on the drip anymore and apparently is doing somewhat better. We hope to call in on him late tomorrow after a day on the road visiting customers.

7.39pm - time to cook dinner. Although it's still hot I'm hungry now so it's time to cook regardless of the heat. Must get on to the air con repair guys - life is not fun when hot and air con does not work!!
