A little about me ...

Me ... I live on a few acres, not too far from the city.
I am married to my very understanding soul mate Brian, and have been for nearly 25 years. We have one son, currently in his final year of university, studying various aspects of Commerce & Finance and working night shifts as a croupier.
I am discovering a big love of photography. I've always had an interest however it's almost becoming a bit of an obsession of late. In 2011 I joined a camera club and decided to take on the Project 365 Challenge - essentially take at least one photo per day for 365 days! I'm took on the project of my own accord, as I was of the belief that this would inspire me more so than feeling that I 'have to take a photo' because I've paid for the challenge privilege.
What's in my camera bag - a much loved and well used Canon 400D with various lenses (Canon EF-S 18-55, EF 35-80, EF 90-300 & EF 28-135 & a newly acquired Canon 100mm F2.8L ) and a trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT2 which travels with me everywhere! * Sept '12 newly added to my bag a Canon 7D. I was trying to decide on a Canon 5D MkII or a 7D and my wonderful husband liked the faster processing of the 7D ... so I decided on this option. My next upgrade will be to a full frame camera.
Most of my photos are straight from camera, sometimes a little cropping or minor adjustments but I tend not to create art in post photo editing programs. I like photos for what they are, a moment in time with a story to tell!
I'd love to know what you think of my photos so if you have something to say please leave me a comment - even if it's constructive criticism!
I also love paper craft and card making and have a separate blog for this ... Chelle's Corner.
I enjoy life for what it is and take each day as it comes.
