I can't believe that the weekend is almost over already! Where does time go these days?
Yesterday was an extrememly LONG day - I got woken at 4.20am - tossed & turned for a while ... woke Brian up and being that we were heading off to Perth early so as to catch Damian's hockey game we ended up getting out of bed about 5.45am.
We arrived at the college in time to watch Damian's hockey game - he scored a goal *grin* and they won 5 or 6 nil. Easy win really considering some of the other competition in the PSA sports.
After the game, while Damian took a shower, we took off and delivered a wholesale craft order to a very good client and then headed back to the college and picked up Damian for the afternoon. We headed for lunch - Subway :-) and then off to the movies for the afternoon. We saw The Transformers followed by The Simpsons. Both were enjoyable (although I nodded off for a wee while during the Transformers ... early start ... midday movie ... not a good combination! lol). We picked up some dinner for Damian, took him back to the college and headed home, arriving home at 8pm.
Today I spent several hours mowing the lawns this morning and catching up on some washing, with having good intentions of making lots of cards this afternoon. Hmmmm, got caught up in a program on National Geographic and spent a number of hours laying around the lounge with my feet & legs in the warm sun that was streaming through the window ... oh it was SO nice to just lay around and do nothing for a wee while :-) I did make a couple of baby cards this morning which I will post later, part of the collection I am putting together to give to Brian's sister for a very belated birthday present.
All in all a most enjoyable weekend :-)
Heard from Mum & Dad today .... enjoying the top end they are. They've just booked into some station accommodation for a week - 30,000 head of cattle running around on 100,000ha! Sounds like a great place to be if you want to get away for some R&R!
Just before I head off - how much would you be prepared to spend on the ULTIMATE nights sleep - as in $$'s for a bed??? $1500, $2500 ... maybe $4000??? I caught the US version of the Today show yesterday morning - WOW ... They had a $4,000 model with silver threads through it ($24,000 for the gold thread version). I thought the $30,000 bed with heating, cooling and a vibrator was over the top but then 2 models later they are showing a $59,000+ model that was simply a basic bed, didn't do anything & get this - they've sold 30 of them to date!!!
Ok .... off to cook dinner & feed the fur children. Hope you had a great weekend too!

Sounds like a good weekend. Lot of work but some R&R also! Check your mail on SCS, I left you a challenge!
Sounds like a great weekend - two movies in a row, havn't done that since I was a teen or early 20's.LOL Know who to go with next time! Good on your son winning the hockey. Beds - wow too much money I think, I spent $120 on a water pillow for my neck and that was worth it, but that much money - no thanks.LOL
