Damian had several appointments yesterday - a date with the x-ray machine followed by a visit to the orthopaedic surgeon and finally another follow up appointment with his OT. Damian got the go ahead to play sport - you should have seen the smile on his face! He now only has to wear his splint at night time but has to continue with his exercises. He was so excited hey!!
He got a new grip put on his hockey stick yesterday and today we headed back down to Perth and bought the little man some new hockey boots suitable for turf & grass. He's playing in the 11 b team this year so he's quite excited about trying out the new gear!
Damian also has the boarder's ball coming up in a couple of weeks so he got some new clothes for this very auspicious occasion. New pants, shoes, tie all to go with the black shirt he has. I'm not sure if it's cool for mum & dad to turn up but I'd really like photos!!! It is afterall my boys first ball! He has a date organised through one of his old school friends - unfortunately they don't get to meet until the evening when they cruise down the Swan River on the Decoy paddlesteamer. Sounds like fun!!
Spoke to Mum & Dad yesterday - they were heading off to Hervey Bay today (that spelling doesn't look right but I Google'd it and it's definately spelt that way!). I think they are there for a week again ... time for a little R&R with an ensuite site, hopefully lots of sunshine and possibly some time for some fossicking!
