Happy Birthday to Me!

In case you didn't know ... today is my birthday so Happy Birthday to me! :-) I have one pressie from my folks and I know that Brian ordered mine about a month ago but not sure if it's arrived yet. It's a U beaute foot tens massage machine. Sort of like accupuncture without the needles. I'm hoping the boys have made me a card but we'll see. Might go out for dinner but not sure if there are any restaurants open in the Swan Valley on a Monday - might go to the Gingin pub - always a good feed there!

Well, onto the news side of things .... Not a great deal has happened of late hence no blog entries.

I did take a day off last week though and went to Courtney's house and made cards for the day! It was great - we made 8 things each - we being Courtney, Courtney's friend Aimee, Annette & me. The advantage of a make & take over a crop is we actually got quite a bit done! We met Courtney at the Scrapboxx Retreat back in March and this was the first time we'd met up since. Apart from supplying the venue, Courtney also supplied us with a yummy lunch of quiche & salad! Great day - excellent company ... thanks ladies!

Damian went back to the orthopaedic surgeon (OS) on Friday, who saw us for a few minutes - examined the new xrays, looked at DJ's finger and said see you in a month. Then we went to occupational therapy (OT) where his therapist wasn't happy with the droopy end of finger - thinks it might be some sort of tendon damage. Anna-Lisa has kept DJ's xray and will be speaking to the OS today and we'll find out what their thoughts are on Friday when DJ goes back to OT.

Mum and Dad have left Victoria - took a couple of days to pass through Canberra in the ACT and are now in New South Wales. They spent a few days in Sydney but just found it far too busy and croweded and too noisey. Got a text message from them yesterday - they were in the Blue Mountains at the 3 Sisters - said it was really beautiful! Not sure where they are heading too next but I'm guessing as the weather cools it will be further north. :-)

Oh, Brian shaved off his goatee last night that he's had for about 2½ years ... he looks younger I think without it ... however I think the goatee really suits him and I might suggest he now grow it back! LOL

BTW - the huntsman spider ... yes, he still lives in our computer!! Not quite sure what he is living on but I saw him yesterday.

OK - got to do some serious work now ... have taken several days out over the last few weeks and I seem to be quite behind.
