Here is Damian during the last few hours of his school holidays ... getting in some last minutes of watching cricket. He returns to school today (yes, being a border he returns on a Sunday) and is now starting Year 11. Only 2 years of high school left ... scary! His chosen subjects are: Physics, chemistry, trig & geometry, english, introductory calculus and computer sciences. I think he needs a challenge!?! He is aiming for engineering when he goes to uni - all I can say is the best of luck .... play hard .... study harder!!
On a more serious note my FIL is back in hospital again. Got a temperature of 40 Friday night so back to the hospital he went. They had his temperature under control though when my MIL & SIL left the hospital at 12.30am. The dr. that saw him is a colleague of the dr that my FIL usually sees and they will be discussing his chemo treatment and will possibly adjust the volumes/doses of what he has - in the thinking that it's the treatment that is causing him to get sick mid way between treatments. I guess only time will tell.
We've had water bombers flying over us today as there is a largish fire to the east of us - probably started by the lightning last night. The 3rd night in a row we've had a wicked lightning show.
Ok - going to start packing Damian's suitcase & bag with his clothes ... always leave this bit to the last minute so that everything doesn't get too screwed up. Damian has everything else ready so it's just the clothes that need packing.
It's currently over 46°c outside - really not in any hurry to return Damian to school at all but we have quite an early start tomorrow so don't want to make it too late for us.
A kind word is like a spring day .........
Chelle
